23.04.2015 - A shepherd guides his herd on the only highway connecting the capital Stepanakert to mainland Armenia. Officially within Azerbaijan’s de jure borders, the highway is built along the Lachin corridor, a mountainous passage under the control of NKR forces, following the Nagorno-Karabakh war. The autonomous state and its corridor link to Armenia are both secured through a 240km-long militarized border with WW1-style trenches.
